Tara Nicholas Reck

Tara Nicholas Reck has been a member of Anchorage Presbyterian Church since she was in Middle School at Anchorage School. Ordained in 2005, Tara served as a Palliative Care Chaplain at University of Louisville Hospital for 10 years. In 2015, she became a part time Associate Pastor of Anchorage Presbyterian and then in January of 2017 she was installed as a full time Co-Pastor with Dee Wade. 

     She is married to Hanns-Georg Reck, an RN and Woodworker, and they have twin daughters, Emma and Grace, who are in 4th grade. They have 2 dogs, Jessie and Abby and 2 fish, Sonny and Bingo. 


  Tara is a graduate of Transylvania University and Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, class of 2003.

Dee Hamilton Wade, since 1997, has been Pastor of Anchorage Presbyterian Church. Previously he was Pastor of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Presbyterian, Anniston, Alabama and Pastor of the Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church,
Lexington, Kentucky.


He is married to Deborah Newton Wade, a social worker, who spent nineteen years directing Ryan White federal programs for people with HIV/AIDS in Alabama and Kentucky. In February of 2011 she become Program Coordinator for Innovation and Community Engagement  at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Deborah and Dee have a son, Seth and a dog named Fingal. 


Dee Wade is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and the Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York, class of 1978. For 20 years, he wrote a column called “A Natural Grace” for the Presbyterian Voice, the newspaper of the Synod of Living Waters. That paper was reduced to an online journal, but files may still exist at www.presbyvoice.org.


In January of 2017, Dee was re-installed as a Co-Pastor with Tara Reck (see below).
