Presbyterian Church

We are glad you stopped by our website to find out more about Anchorage Presbyterian

Church. We would love to have you join us for our worship services and other activities.

Children are an important part of our congregation at Anchorage Presbyterian Church.

On most Sundays, our members and ministers lead "Sharing Faith with Our Children" toward the

beginning of the service and then, younger children can return to the nursery where they can play

under the care of our dedicated and loving childcare workers. During the school year, on

most Sundays, (September-May) school aged children are invited to attend "Ready! Set! Worship!"

where they will learn about the components of a worship service in fun, interactive ways, before

returning to worship during the offertory. Worship bags with coloring materials and a children's

bulletin are provided at all services.

There are several family oriented services throughout the year such as our Hanging of the Green service in Advent, and our Christmas Eve Family Service, as well as an excellent Christian Education program during the Sunday School hour for children ages 2 and older. Childcare is provided during the Sunday School hour and for our worship services, as well as for most church functions. Every other month, a Parents Night Out is held where the church provides free childcare, and the parents can dine together at a local restaurant or at a home of one of our members.

We have a unique and special covenant relationship with the other churches in our area: St. Lukes Episcopal Church, Epiphany Catholic Church and  First Baptist Church of Anchorage which has included shared worship services and a commitment to prayer for our the people and ministries at these neighbor churches. Each summer, all three churches combine efforts for Bibletimes Marketplace our unique, ecumenical version of Vacation Bible School.

Our church is also dedicated to mission opportunities in our local community and around

the world. Currently 20% of our budget is dedicated to supporting the needs of various

organizations. Through both volunteerism and financial support, we are involved in

organizations such as Bellewood Home for Children, Habitat for HumanityEastern Area
