Children and youth are at the heart of our church and are our

future. We hope they and their families feel welcome in all we do.

On most Sundays, our members and ministers lead

"Sharing Faith with Our Children" toward the beginning of the

11AM service and then, younger children can return to the nursery

where they can play under the care of our dedicated and loving

childcare workers. Worship bags with coloring materials and

e-Writer tables are provided at all services. There are several

family oriented services throughout the year such as our Hanging of the Green service in Advent, and our Christmas Eve Family Service.

During the school year, on most Sundays, (September-May) school aged children are invited to attend "Ready! Set! Worship!" where they sing with our children's music director, before returning to worship during the offertory. An opportunity to work with our children's music director also happens during the Sunday School hour.

Every other month, a Parents Night Out is held where the church provides free childcare, and the parents can dine together at a local restaurant or at a home of one of our members.

Our Youth Group currently meets once a month and is combined with the youth group of St. Lukes Episcopal Church under the leadership of their Associate Pastor, Allison Caudill and our seminary intern, Haley Ingram. Past activities have included: volunteering at Wayside Christian Mission, a skating Party at Champs, Trunk or Treat at St. Lukes, Thanksgiving Basket scavenger hunt to benefit Eastern Area Community Ministries, caroling to homebound members, a Canoe Trip and a trip to Montreat Conference Center in North Carolina.
