Healthy at Church Protocols

The Re-opening Task Force is sharing these Healthy at Church protocols to re-open our building. Everyone entering our building will follow these Healthy at Church protocols. If anyone in the congregation who has attended a worship service tests positive for COVID-19 we will follow the recommendation of the health department, which may include not entering the building for a period of time.

The services will be live-streamed for those who do not feel comfortable returning at this time or are not available to come to worship on a particular Sunday.

Worship Schedule

  • May 23, 2021 through the end of June there will be indoor services at 9AM and 11AM. A maximum of 50 people may attend each service to allow for social distancing.

  • The Re-opening Task Force and Session will re-evaluate whether or not we have two indoor services each Sunday for the months of July and August after reviewing worship attendance.

Childcare

  • Childcare (ages 6 months to 5 years) is now available for all services. We are excited to be able to use our newly renovated nursery! Please reserve childcare when you make your reservation. More information about our COVID nursery protocol will be emailed to parents. All children are welcome to stay in the worship service.

  • No food or drinks in the nursery at this time

Masks

  • Per CDC guidelines, for a group where vaccination status and whether someone is at increased risk for severe Covid-19 is unknown (as in the case of indoor worship), masks, covering both nose and mouth are required. The exception will be the pastors while leading worship.

  • The Session is currently reviewing the new CDC guidance, but has voted to allow congregational singing at our upcoming indoor worship services. Until a decision is made otherwise, masks and social distancing will still be required.

  • In the case of a small indoor committee meeting where all individuals present have received the final dose of a COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior, masks will not be required

Entering/Exiting the Building

  • Please enter through the Bellewood entrance under the portico and stop at the Welcome Table to record your name and receive a communion packet if applicable.

  • If you're physically able to navigate stairs, please exit through the back red doors of the church.

Sanctuary

  • Everyone will sit in pews as marked, at least six feet apart. Family members and groups of friends who have been vaccinated may sit together.

  • Offering will be received in offering box at the back of the church.

  • No fellowship time or food or drinks at this time.

  • No shaking hands or hugging at this time.

  • Hand sanitizer stations will be available at both doors.

  • During the Children’s Sermon, children will remain in their seats.

  • Bibles and hymnals are removed from the pews but feel free to bring your own Bible from home.

  • For Communion, you will pick up a pre-filled juice and bread set to use like we have used for our outdoor worship services
